Ingredients
- 75ml freshly squeezed Florida Grapefruit juice
- 50ml white rum
- 10 fresh mint leaves, plus extra for garnish
- 15ml sugar syrup (adjust to taste)
- Soda water (to top up)
- Crushed ice
Instruction
- Muddle the mint & sugar syrup: in a tall glass, gently muddle the fresh mint leaves with the sugar syrup to release the mint’s natural oils. Be careful not to over- muddle, as this can make the mint bitter.
- Add the grapefruit juice & rum: pour in the freshly squeezed Florida grapefruit juice and white rum, then stir to combine.
- Fill with ice: add plenty of crushed ice to the glass.
- Top up with soda: pour soda water over the ice, filling the glass to the top.
- Garnish & serve: give it a gentle stir, then garnish with a grapefruit wedge and extra mint leaves.
